Where does Sustainability fit in?

This dynamic simulation challenges players to work towards a better world, where cooperation and trust lead to sustained progress. It teaches what this means by creating innovative, fit-for-purpose business ventures that address large-scale global challenges, guided by six of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, as managed by the World Economic Forum.

The focus is on co-creating an innovative business solution to a major global issue, which encompasses both the well-being of the environment and the well-being of people, resulting in a balanced triple bottom line outcome: People, Profit, and the Planet.

How is sustainability incorporated?

​There are dual sustainability-related components.

 

• First, the problems related to the UN's Sustainability Goals. Currently, we have narrowed them down to 6 for efficiency; however, this can be tailored.

• Secondly, the sustainability cards and elements include various scenarios with rewards and penalties as part of the game.

Sustainability Cards can be found within the card sets, as well as the Sustainability Development Goals that form the basis of the problems the teams need to address. Although the original, core focus is as an innovation training game, in the ESG scenario, we would prioritise the environment and sustainability aspects.
